Dallas loads up for a better run with a younger core and they get a quality top six support piece in Brown that on the trade market probably is worth a first and second like the Pageau trade.

To me the Dallas 1st and Gurianov is the 1st and 2nd and Tufte is there cause he is a big body forward that played his junior hockey in Ottawa and could fit into the Ottawa play style whereas he hasn't had an opportunity in Dallas.


First is Top 10 protected.

Second only transfers if Dallas goes to the Cup Final and Brown plays in 33% of those games.

Ottawa gets back a potential top six forward in Gurianov and Tufte could end up being a decent bottom six piece. And the first is a first.

TO ANY TEAM. It's pretty much the price you have to pay for a decent third pairing defenseman nowadays.

Buyout, trade, he just ends up out of Ottawa. He probably doesn't have a roster spot in the future.
