Zacha trade seems reasonable as a 1 for 1.

Not that I think Zacha is worth more than Kapanen, but I don't see a reason for Fitz to make this swap. Zacha is likely getting moved so they could clear out some of the middle-6 logjam to sign some different style players/get some of the Utica blood in the roster. Kapanen just brings more of the same.

Ya I was wondering the same thing too. Only thing I could see is NJ having internet in Kapanens PK ability. But I agree, while I think the value is fair 1 for 1 I'm not sure devil's would have much interest.

Yea, this is pretty much it. It's a fair deal with no other context, but it's one of those deals that doesn't happen not because it isn't fair, but because it doesn't make sense for one or the other team.
