not a bad deal if he wasnt hurt all of the time. he would just be the new Muzzin.

The thing is he is eventually gonna come back and Murphy's deal isnt really ideal for us

If Toronto does decide to go for a D it would probs be a cheap 1 year rental like Schenn

But in general I think if Toronto is gonna use the Muzzin LTIR I think its for a bigger prize (i.e. a Kane trade)

What i find amusing about this influx of muzzin trades is that people spent all summer trying to dump him for cap space, and now that he's hurt they want to trade for another defender which would still gum up their cap space.

This years draft class is one of the deepest in recent years, but where does Toronto's 1st round pick end up? I shouldn't assume Toronto gets out of the 1st round but probably 20-32?

Toronto gets Tampa's 2nd.. Chicago might only improve their draft slot by 20? 25? maybe 30 spots?

I dislike that people tear apart trades on this website but if I am Chicago I dont think I would move Murphy for this package. I hope he (and a 2nd) can get a better return than a late 1st and a lottery ticket 3rd
