Using the Fiala trade as a comparable for Meier. 1st between 17-23 and a good prospect picked in the 2nd round two years prior. He also sign the same contract Fiala signed.

1st and good prospect seem to be what Winnipeg is looking for Dubois. Could be COL 2023 1st if Xhekaj trade happen or CGY 2024/2025 1st.

If Romanov got a 13th overall, Xhekaj is worth more. Girard and a late 1st for Xhekaj + Dvorak seem fair and help both team needs.

MTL would have to shed 2.5M if the cap doesn't go higher than 83.5M

Give him more than 8 games before saying that. Yeah he’s looked good but not worth a 1st. And even then

Girard > Xhekaj

I think they would rather take their chances at the draft. Dvorak hasn't even proven that he's a real 2C anyways, so they might not even end up filling their need.

I don't agree Girard is worth more than Xhekaj.

Dvorak is probably worth a late 1st or high 2nd.
