1.
TOR
  1. Domi, Max ($1,500,000 retained)
CHI
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Might be a bit of an overpay given he was traded for almost nothing last year but because of the retained salary a 2nd is probably fair
2.
TOR
  1. Gavrikov, Vladislav ($1,400,000 retained)
CBJ
  1. 2023 1st round pick (TOR)
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Probably an overpay, and technically the leafs don’t need a defensemen, but he’s exactly the type of player that would step up in the playoffs

Leafs don't need a LHD, which Gavrikov is. Why did write the following ? "but he’s exactly the type of player that would step up in the playoffs". Certainly his past record shows no proof of that.

I like Gavrikov but we don’t need d in general, and absolutely don’t need a LHD .
Rather spend those assets on an impact 2W or 3C, and Domi isn’t that

That works for the Jackets just fine. Gav's suitability as a Leafs target is a separate discussion and one that I can't really comment well on as I've not paid much close attention to the Leafs lately.

I don’t have a problem with the Chicago trade in value, I actually agree it’s a bit of an overpay… but why focus on what he was traded for last season?
