▐▐ Pens ▬ "MUST DO" (to maybe win a Round or 2) ▐▐

1}- [Jeff CARTER] ▬ Must Retire "fake injury" & go onto LTIR. I've never seen a worse hockey player........ Can u go on LTIR for "Lost Hands"?? LOL

2}- [Laurent BROSSOIT] ▬ Must get another Goalie w/ DeSmith Starting bc we all know.... its just a matter of time till he is injured too.

3}- [Ryan MERKLEY] ▬ Loved this kid in Draft, needs a change tho. With 2- 35yr old RHD & 1- 32yr old RHD & no young guys in system at RHD, mite be a good idea.

4}- [Jake McCABE] ▬ been trading or signing him for like 5yrs now. Even tho his lytics are not good, always thought he is the perfect LHD pairing for Letang.

5}- [Max COMTOIS] ▬ This team needs some young Legs in the Top 9 so badly!! A Physical Forward w/ Size (6'2"/ 220) & great Net Front Winger. Comtois would be perfect w/ 71 & 17.

6}- [Isac LUNDESTROM] ▬ The perfect young 3C that is already great Defensively & could be a McCann type steal bc he is highly skilled too.

7}- [Zach MacEWEN] ▬ The Pens are the softest team in the history of the NHL, Must get at least 1- Forward that can do something when teams start head hunting.

Would the Pens do Dumoulin for Walker straight up?

1. I don't think anything happening with Carter is likely. We won't be able to trade him and I don't think an LTIRetirement is likely. A lot of ACGMs simply remove him from the equation, and I just can't see it happening. I think the best we can do is get a new 3C and put Carter on the wing.
2. I'd at least want to know how long Jarry is going to be out for first. If he won't be out long, I don't see the need, and other moves will have to be made to accomodate his cap hit, even if he's buried in the minors.
3. Yeah, Merkley would be nice, but what's the point if he doesn't play? You said it yourself, we have Letang, Petry, and Rutta above him on the depth chart. Probably Ruhwedel, too. We'd just be wasting his potential by not playing him.
4. I don't see LA accepting their part of the 3 way deal. And getting McCabe has the same effect as Merkley: a veteran taking the spot in the lineup of a young player. If we pick up McCabe, what happens to Ty Smith?
5/6. I like the idea, depends on if the Ducks would be willing to move out Comtois and Lundenstrom.
7. Fake news. Penguins are 3rd in the league in hits, behind only Philly and Ottawa. We're 1st in hits/game, and we'd definitely have more if Petry and Archibald were healthy. I'm really not sure what MacEwan would do that Archy doesn't.

Anaheim doesn't need more draft picks, Los Angeles doesn't need another left-handed forward, and the Kings would rather do a deal for McCabe with Chicago.
