I don't know if this is enough, but they will keep accruing cap until the deadline when they put clutterbuck and wahlstrom on LTIR and they will enough money make a trade of this sort. The fact that Lou continues to Accrue cap means he's not done. I don't know what assets the islanders really have to trade, but Bolduc seems likely as he is having a great season and they were showcasing him in the NHL likely to move him. (Islanders have an influx of young left handed defensmen

This ain't it. Having traded their 23' first, the islanders are probably out of the Kane sweepstakes

Hawks have that same influx of good, young left shot D men as well. So Bolduc isn't a fit for the Hawks. I'd probably target DuFour and the Isles '23 and '24 2nd rounders. And that might not get it done. And as long as the Hawks are retaining on Kane, no issue w/ retaining half. The Hawks covet the retention slot more than the $ amount of the retention
