Description

A lot of Detroit activity today. Thought this may be fun to see how it looks after seeing the see-saw between certain fans and fanbases while watching Detroit hopefully contain McDavid and Draisaitl.

Bertuzzi moved at the deadline. Will come 50% retained to a contender. I listed Calgary as they were first on the list that I could see going for it. I understand this is contingent on Bert returning somewhat to form leading up to the deadline. If fair value is not reached, try to re-sign to yet another "prove it" deal, or take what is best leading up to losing him. May potentially lose value if no one balks, or may lose him for nothing, worth the risk in my opinion.

Feel free to pass on names or other possible ideas. If people like the concept, possibly do something similar for the next potential target: Domink Kubalik.

Just looking for some good discussion. Hopefully some, " swap Rooney out for Lucic in the Calgary trade" or "drop the pick and add this" and not "TEAM X adds McDavid and Holloway."

I mean if he goes bananas and is like a point a game guy for the next 3 weeks then maybe id be a bit more optimistic about some of these names. He just doesn't have the value right now I think to pull some of the better prospects on this list. I'd label him a 2nd with maybe a depth player or blah prospect coming back.

Well useless rental Bertuzzi (according to 99.9% of CFACGM) scored a goal tonight so maybe he's increased his value to a 6th round pick in 2035.

Don't think the Kings have any interest in Bertuzzi. They have plenty of capable top-six wingers and scoring hasn't been a problem. They're not giving up their biggest trade assets to strengthen a position that is already a strength for them.

If Mo Seider ever becomes available, the Kings will be more than happy to offer up some top quality assets for him. In the meantime, we'll take Olli Maatta off your hands for a 3rd round pick.
