I would make the condition on the Edmundson trade be that he would actually have to be a good enough player to justify that trade.

Legitimately don't believe Habs fans who have watched him play this season, seriously think he's worth a 2nd and fantastic prospect like Spence. No way jose.

I don't think you can trade DAL 2023 1st as it's linked to a condition (Tarasenko trade)

Edit: Second thought, the condition for this trade could be that it's the remaining 1st round pick that is included in the trade, the lowest of NYR and DAL going to STL. In that event Montreal would get the best of the two 1st which doesn't make sense at all after the Tarasenko trade. Second problem for NYR would be cap space (they had slightly over $100k available after the Tarasenko trade).
