Absolutely ZERO percent chance CHI even takes DeAngelo as a cap dump let alone pays for him. The dude is a chud, and, even if CHI were interested, they don't have room for another defenseman.

CBJ keep their picks and 11.3m cap rather than trade of those Flyers. Gee CBJ could sign those 4 UFAs that you did for 10m and keep their picks.

and what flock of players want to sign as a free agent in columbus hmm? Johnny is an outlier because the flyers (his first choice) were ignorant. Before Johnny, the best UFA signing the Jackets could muster was Gus Nyquist.

Not something I feel CHI need to do. I like DeAngelo as a offensive D Man but the guys are growing organically and we don't need another Vet D Man on the right side with Jones, Murphy and Zaitsev already there along with some young guys.

There are few teams with cap, so signing competent UFAs shouldn't be problem. Due to injuries last season, I really think CBJ is better than they shown last year. CBJ being in the the great travel division is enticing too to UFA.s I would say "Patience Grasshopper",
