First of all, you might want to have done this for the 2023-24 season. Second, Ehlers is a great 2-way winger, and I think the Canes would love to have him, but he won’t get an Eichel like return, and that’s a ton for a guy who can hardly even stay healthy for 2/3 of a season. Would rather spend those same assets on someone who can produce a lot more offense and is a more consistent occurrence on the active roster.
