I have a very hard time believing that Washington would move their first round pick as they haven't been in the top ten in YEARS.

0% chance caps move 8OA to dump Mantha. Doesn't matter whats coming back (within reason)

Zero chance Seattle trades for Blackwell. They already have enough players like him. Unless it's a FO specialist or stay at home D they will look elsewhere.

Honestly I'd probably do this. The difference between 8 and 11 probably isn't that big. We're guaranteed to get one of Dvorsky, Leonard, Reinbacher, or Sale and we also add an early second round pick this year and a second for next year while moving Mantha's cap hit. That's a really good deal for us. Honestly, just getting the two second round picks is almost close enough value to move down only three spots in this draft.

To me the crux isn't the WAS trade. Moving from #8 to #11 isn't that big a move in this draft. It's #1, #2, #3-#5...then pick your poison. The crux to me is the VAN trade. TMyers isn't a huge cap dump. VAN owes those bonuses on July 1st and then I tend to think a team like AZ will take him off their hands for free. Certainly, AZ isn't paying anything for TMyers, but it wouldn't be a hindrance.

TBL probably don't do that either. I think they could get more for Ross Colton. Don't get me wrong...I'm a buyer of Ross Colton, but I think we'd need to add more. With that said, I do believe he's available. Just 1 man's opinion, but if Stamkos gets heard by management....they're going to go for it which means keeping Killorn...not Ross Colton.
