Hawks are not taking a 5.7 cap hit with a 6.5 price tag to hand you a 3rd this year for a future 3rd that may not even be better than the 3rd they are trading away. Hawks are not touching Mantha (oft injured and otherwise inconsistent disappointment) for anything less than a 2nd Hawks just grabbed #44 OA with a 4th for Zaitsev 4.5 cap hit and salary. So why again are the Hawks taking Mantha for basically nothing with a 1.2 higher cap and paying 2 million more to do it?

Don’t see COL doing a trade where the net cap hit even retained is almost $5M. That puts them in a huge bind next off season with Landy back (I know a big if).
