That's a more reasonable trade for Nylander... I'd want to switch out Pesce for Morrow and another prospect but this deal is pretty good and equitable

If Nylander gets moved its not for a Defenseman. Is the leafs D core perfect? No. But their shortcoming in the playoffs come from lack of scoring (2 goals per game last 7).
Also Brodie has played a good portion of his career on both sides so I dont know why leafs would do that....

A Pesce like player could likely be signed as a UFA so I think trading Nylander at this point for him makes no sense. Build your team first and if Nylander needs to be traded then work a trade. Right now you are wasting Nylander's trade value on a player who has counterparts as UFAs. Moving Brodie is a good idea but I doubt you would get Tanev for him. Better to just buy Murray out than throwing away that first round pick. ROR likely needs 5.5 m to stay.
