    They'd non-tender Gurianov the same as they're about to non-tender Comer. As for dropping down from 2OA to 5OA? A 2nd in 2025 and a 4th? Not even close.

    a second in 3 drafts and a 4th rounder is no where near enough to move up from 5 to 2, especially in this draft where there is a clear top 3/4 prospects before a pretty big tier break

    The pick isnt being moved so what it would actually take doesnt matter but it would be multiple 1sts +. And thats on top of 5OA

    moving up from 5OA to 2OA in this draft will cost you at least one extra 1st, probably more.

    A 2nd and a 4th would be enough to move up 3 spots in the 20's.

    I don't think anyone would take Hoffman for free. His biggest issue is when he's on the ice, for every point he puts up the opposing team puts up more; he's that bad defensively and this has been going on for years with him. Of course there are other issues with him as well, but at $4.5M he needs to be incredibly sheltered by his team to be effective.
