So because the Canes have quality defensive depth, they have to trade a prospect and Chatfield for a few picks? Where’s the logic in that?

How about you give us Ehlers for Lucius. Seems fair, right?

LOL, the difference between Fowler and Schmidt is far more than a 3rd round pick three years from now. You can drop Fowler and the Ducks *might* take Schmidt's bloated AAV off the Jets for that 3rd sweetener.

You’d have to retain 50% on MS for blues to make this work plus they would want extension in hand. Maybe blues give more pick(s)

Fowler's NTC and the Ducks say no. In fact, Verbeek wouldn't even bother relaying that offer to Cam. For Schmidt and that over-the-horizon third, we'd give you Future Considerations.
