▐▐▐ ▬ [MY] New Pens - Traded or Signed ▬▐▐▐

▬ RHD- A. PEEKE #21 ▬ 25 / 6'3" / 198lbs :
Physical, Hard Nosed D-man coming off a bad yr & a change of scenery could be whats needed.

▬ C/LW- A. TEXIER #42 ▬ 23 / 6'1" / 195lbs :
Ultra Skilled young Forward w/ Speed for days but does he want to stay in NHL? Risk / Reward

▬ RW- O. WAHLSTROM #26 ▬ 23 / 6'2" / 212lbs :
Absolutely always Loved Oli since Drafted & is more of a 3rd Line RWer rite now BUT could be the exact type of "Young Legs Winger" 87 needs at this point of career.

▬ L/W- M. BLUMEL #23 ▬ 23 / 6'0" / 199lbs :
Young Depth winger that reminds me of Fiala, in how he plays.

▬ C/RW- S. PINTO #12 ▬ 22 / 6'3" / 205lbs :
My fav 19' Draft pick, my fav young Forward, & perfect 3C. Has 2C potential but w/ a cpl yrs behind 87 & 71, maybe he develops into a #1C.

▬ G- K. KAHKONEN #36 ▬ 26 / 6'2" / 215lbs :
IMO, I'd be more excited to get Kaapo than EK65. After a bad yr w/ a bad SJS, if he can get back to his prior 2.5yrs of (65GP) & (2.89 GAA) & (0.912 Sv%) could be a steal.

▬ RHD- E. KARLSSON #65 ▬ 33 / 6'0" / 192lbs :
If he can stay Healthy & play like last years EK65. NOT the 4 previous yrs of averaging (52GP per yr) & (35P per yr) it would be Insanely Great, still a Big Risk.

▬ LHD- S. BENOIT #13 ▬ 24 / 6'3" / 210lbs :
Physical / Tough Depth LHD

▬ RHD- C. FOOTE #52 ▬ 24 / 6'3" / 209lbs
Physical / Tough RHD

Texier isn't on the trade block for the Jackets. They're excited he's ready to play in the NHL again and it would be horrible optics to trade him after all he has been through over the last couple years.

Somehow Pittsburgh just absolutely wins every trade here.
Why would Columbus do that trade? To get fringe NHL players that they have excess of in their own system? You want them to rest Granlund's contract and send you Peeke and Texier for only a second? Seems like a pretty easy pass for them.
The Vancouver and Islanders trade, seems like Penguins involvement really isn't needed, not that there is much of a fit for the Islanders. Why give up a really solid 3C for another winger? They create a hole just to add a player they can easily fill within. Also if for some weird reason they did a trade like this, why wouldn't Vancouver want Wahlstrom instead of POJ? POJ would be 4th or 5th on their depth chart and that doesn't include young guys coming up.
Why is Dallas paying so much for a defenceman they don't need, can't afford and isn't worth that? Also sounds like Petry wanted to be as close to Michigan as possible and Dallas isn't that close. Really bad deal for Dallas.
I also doubt Ottawa gives up Pinto right now, he had a nice rookie season.
San Jose isn't retaining that much, they already said that. Also the conditions are a bit ridiculous and the value isn't quite there.
