Don't hate the value, but holy hell, what do you want Carolina to do with him? Canes already have 9 NHL quality defensemen with the big six, Chatfield, Jones and Coghlan. Unless Boqvist is open to taking faceoffs or playing on the wing, bad fit

I’d easily trade for Boqvist, especially at that price. Gotta agree that it’s likely a 2nd rounder at this point.

I agree with others that Boqvist's value falls in the range of a late 1st to a mid 2nd-round pick.

Regarding the lineup, having Sillinger at 2C and Peeke as 2RD could pose challenges. Fantilli, Jenner, and possibly Voronkov might be better choices than Sillinger. If Boqvist is traded, Jiricek and Blankenburg should compete for the 2RD spot instead of Peeke. While Peeke is a solid 3rd pairing defenseman, elevating his role could lead to difficulties.
