CHI isn't paying for Jarnkrok. TOR will be an interesting team to watch this year, though.

This late in the game I think Chicago would require a 2nd round pick or similar prospect to take on Jarnkrok. 3x2m isnt alot, but it isnt nothing either. Last year Canucks traded Dickinson (2.6aav x 2 years) with a 2nd round pick for a 6/7th defensemen. Hawks would want something similar this year.

Jarnkrok does not have positive value for Hawks. We have enough bottom 6 players. Send to team looking to compete.

You are absolutely dreaming if you think another team is going ride in on their white horse to bail the Leafs out of their cap problems AND give them a draft pick.

Treliving created this mess with his offseason signings, now he can pay to clean it up.

The difference here is Dickinson was a collosal fail and Vancouver and the Canucks were selling very low. Jarnkrok looks like Jarnkrok in Toronto.

In terms of overall game, Dickinson and Jarnkrok are very similar, so I get the comparison; but at the same time you have to consider what the Hawks get for Dickinson at the deadline (when he is moved). Step back a round or two, and I think that is Jarnkrok.
