Hawks decline. They are overflowing w/ NHL level forwards already. Hawks aren't spending a 4th for a pending UFA they don't even have room in their lineup for.

Jackets would just go for the 4th rounder themselves if that trade were on the table from Chicago. Cap isn't gonna be nearly that cheap to shed though.

If Roslovic where decent in the faceoff dot (which he is not), I could have seen the Hawks bringing him as a plan B in the event Bedard &/or Reichel have the struggles at the dot with an eye toward flipping him at the deadline. At a minimum the Hawks would insist on an NHL contract forward going back....aka blackwell to move some money and not create an even bigger glut of forwards which is already 3 or 4 to many. Again, Roslovic is probably the wrong fit as if the kids are struggling with faceoffs, having a guy in the low 40% isn't all that much different and you might as well take the lumps with the kids.
