Description
I guess I hear things haven't gone well in NY for Alexis so wondering if a change of scenery does the trick. Not sure I nailed the value but just throwing it out there. MOJO has a NTC and I'm not sure if it's a full NTC or how many teams are on it, but let's assume a trade to NY could be consummated. Just want to hear thoughts and opinions from both sides.

He has zero trade protection. That offer isn't going to come close to getting him if he's made available

A trade for Laf starts at a 1st.

Minimum.

Mojo can be used here as cap compliance, and can be utilized in all three foward spots by NY. But he's not adding much value to the deal. And while Laf's value may have diminished. It's not by that much. He's still going to cost a lot to acquire, if he's even available.

So one of Minnesota’s A-level prospects needs to go back. Again, at minimum. Either likely Ohgren or Yurov. A couple years ago I'd of said Yurov, since at the time NY needed RW talent . But I don't know if that's still true or not.

Bottom line, this isn't anywhere close to enough.

Johansson has a NTC, on both years of his 2x$2M contract that he signed during the playoffs last year. He would of been UFA this past season otherwise.

But you're correct that that's not enough for Lafreniere.

Lafrenière will cost no where near a 1st plus a A prospect. He’d be lucky to get a 1st in return at this point. Something similar to what Nail Yakupov got Edmonton is a fair comparison.
