Hawks like Guttman and he's developing into a solid bottom 6 player. I think they stick with him. Entwistle is a good 4th liner/tweener. Both are 24 years and cheap and fit our rebuild. Kampf does not fit the rebuild and maybe for a 3rd they take him off Toronto's hands but we aren't giving away Guttman or Entwistle also.

What if they dropped the picks going to the Hawks, but it was a better prospect heading back. Not their #1/#2, but what Topi? We've got picks. We've got cap space. Kampf is a good #4C...just paid too much.

Sure it Topi was included it's a possibility, but Guttman has been looking good in his time in the show, high motor and keeps progressing. I think the Hawks value him enough I think, but Topi for Guttman and dumping Kampf's cap hit may be worth it.

Don't want Kampf for 3 more years.

The 3rd and 5th round picks are what would be required for the Hawks to take Kampf’s contract off the Leafs hands, that means Chicago would be giving away Entwistle and Guttman for free…. No thanks.
