VAN
Lots of options to like in Dallas. Not sure if they’d be willing to move someone like Johnston or Hintz to get Petey but if they are they’re easily my top option. Guys like Stankoven, Bourque, and Bischel are also good targets. Grushnikov Is intriguing as well
    DAL
    2.
    VAN
Fantilli would be a pipe dream and if CBJ was willing to move him they’d probably be my number 1 option. But that’s highly unlikely. If you can get Jiricek+ that’s a great option. Johnson or Sillinger make sense to target as well. Voronkov, Chinakov, or Marchenko are interesting pieces as well if we want an NHL winger in the deal. And great prospects like Mateychuk, Dumais, and Brindley. High 2024 1st as well as a potential option. They could easily be number 1
      CBJ
      3.
      VAN
A boatload of young offensive talent both in the NHL and in the system. One of Thompson/Cozens/Mittelstadt would likely be included. I’d push hard for one of Quinn/Peterka to be in the package. Lots of great prospects like Kulich, Ostlund, Rosen, and Savoie. Maybe the Canucks target Power but unlikely Buffalo moves him. Benson could be an option as well. Another team with a fairly high 2024 1st
        BUF
        4.
        VAN
Getting 2 of Nikishin/Necas/Jarvis/Svech would be great, although it doesn’t really feel like a move Carolina would make. Guys like Morrow, Nadeau, Koivunen, and Blake are intriguing as well, but the Canucks would really need two of those top four guys imo
          CAR
          5.
          VAN
Highly doubt Seider would be on the table but if he was Detroit would move up in my rankings. Quite a few prospects still worth going after. Allvin would probably love Edvinsson or Kasper. One of Kasper/Danielson would likely be included. Sandin-Pellikka maybe. Raymond would probably be one of the first names the Canucks ask for. Guys like Berggren, Soderblom, Rasmussen, Wallinder, Mazur, and Johansson are intriguing as well
            DET
            6.
            VAN
A lot of young talent in Anaheim, although not sure we’d trade him in division/they’d be willing to pay the price for him. Allvin is on record about how much he loves Leo Carlsson, but him or McTavish seem unlikely. Zegras makes sense to include considering he’s in rumours, but not sure if he’d be a great fit with Tocchet. A plethora of great prospects/young players like Gauthier, Mintyukov, Zellweger, Luneau, Gaucher, LaCombe. Also guys like Dostal, Dionicio, and Pastujov. And another team with a high 2024 1st
              ANA
              7.
              VAN
Not too many interesting pieces here imo. One of Slaf/Caufield/2024 1st would likely be the headline piece, with the 2024 1st most likely for obvious reasons. Apart from that Reinbacher or Guhle could be targets, although I don’t see Guhle being moved. Dach, Roy, Barron, and maybe Mesar are other potential targets. Maybe some of their other 1sts but I’m not sure how interested the Canucks would be in late 1sts. While Hutson might be their best prospect, he doesn’t make sense for the Canucks considering we have Hughes already

You're not getting either Jarvis or Svechnikov. Svechnikov for his cost control (which the Canes need with half the roster up) Jarvis for his unreal potential. Nikishin maybe, but that's also unlikely as it would be like Nikishin and scraps. He's going to win a Norris or 4. He's so good. Necas is the one that makes the most sense, him and two of Koivunen/Morrow/Blake/Nadeau, with futures to fill it out.

cbj have no reason to cheat the timeline and acquire pettersson. because we gave unmoveable money to werenski and severson and gaudreau, emptying the warchest of assets just to acquire elias and completely ruin our cap sheet is terrible planning. fantilli is 19 years old and could just be petterrson by the time he is 25. having elias means that fantilli exists as a 2C at best for far too long and also means that we can't prioritize arranging the team to complement fantilli because we have no cap space and none of our first round picks.

why is everyone up in arms about pettersson not having signed an extension when he literally said he didn't want to sign during the season

I think you are overestimating what pieces are going to be available for EP40

                Untouchable players listed:
                - Fantilli
                - Tage (Contract alone makes him untouchable)
                - Svech
                - Seider
                - Leo Carlsson

Not sure if Dallas would part with Wyatt Johnston.

Package is probably similar or slightly bigger than Eichel's return: NHL Player, Good Prospect, 1st Round pick, 2nd Round pick.
