Included TDA and Raanta just to make cap work as well as satisfy roster requirements. Can be flipped for mid round picks or kept, whatever needs to be done. Canes can flip them if need be. Trying to give enough value for retention, another smaller piece might need to be added though.

Schmaltz doesn’t move the needle - trading Jackson Blake will be major mistake.

If Pesce was not willing to waive his NTC to go to the buffalo in the off season, why would he do it at the deadline? Particularly when the Sabres are all but out of the playoff race.

That's a decent offer for Murphy without retention. But I don't think the Hawks will move him this season. Murphy is injured and not even skating. No timeline for his return. And the Hawks have no one in the system to replace Murphy, so making this trade just means the Hawks need to make another move to fill Murphy's spot.
