Description
EDM can get a third team to retain on JD for a $1M caphit. Save their high picks for a bigger trade.

BOS will have plenty of caproom next season. If retaining on Ullmark helps LA pull the trigger on that trade then do it.

BOS should look at adding a vet middle 6 winger on the cheap with decent upside.

BOS apparently in the market for D depth. I'm personally fine if they stand pat, but whatever.

Eh Kings pass, Ulmark has a lower save % than both of the Kings goalies, also over Ullmarks last 4 starts he hasn't cleared a .900 SV%. If the Kings are spending 1sts they also will need to offload a $3-4M contract to make the money work.

To be fair the GsaX is substantially different (Ullmark is 6th with goalies with atleast 30 starts and Talbott is 14th).

The Kings frankly protect their goalie where the Bruins depend on their goalies to protect them, which is consistently different method.

Not disputing your assertion that this hasn’t hurt the kings, but using save % is really incomplete

Talbot has been inconsistent the same could be argued for Ullmark.

The two goalies worth a 1st (Saros and Ullmark) have not played there best this season, be it bad luck or defensive breakdowns. But LA has recently seen their tandem play very well since the coaching change except one game really. From LAs point of view they would need to pay handsomely for a goalie which they can’t fit under there cap, so probably likely to continue playing with their tandem.

The only Ullmark to the Kings deal I see is one that is based on Rob Blake wanting to get off of the PLD contract. Otherwise, that’s one team I’ve penned off the trade possibility group.

I’d take Ullmark’s GSAX in any year and wouldn’t call this a down year. Just not up to historical rates last year. His bench rates are solid.

I like what Rittich has been doing and you should see if it is real or not.
