Big Fan of this trade... Montreal doesn’t get the top centre they’re longing for but Beauvillier has 2nd line potential and as an added bonus is from Quebec. Dal Colle is hit or miss but the two 1st rounders make up for his uncertainty. Islanders finally get good goaltending and what seems like a replacement for Tavares who doesn’t look satisfied with the Islanders despite the Belmont arena plan.

Mostly agree except no reason to trade for goalie. Soderstrom is definitely coming and maybe sorokin. Goalie position for them is safe for future without getting lindgren.

But damn, Garth shows trades are starting make sense now. So many picks...

Frankly, I think the isles should be targetting defensemen and goalies. However, I’ve heard Pacioretty is good on the PK, which we desperately need fixed. Not to mention how scary a Top 6 of Lee-JT-Bailey, Patches-Barzal-Eberle would be. That’s a lot for NYI to give up, so I’d offer Aho and a 2nd instead of Dal Colle and a 1st. The framework of the trade is fine though. Well done.

I think JT will resign in Ny. Also believe Habs should trade Patches this year to get some return. The NY and NJ teams might be good destinations. What about Nelson, Ho Sang, and some picks.

Love this trade from MTL and Isles pov. Would put the Islanders over the cap though might need to throw it a cap dump. MTL gets two prospects with top 6 potential and gets a total of 3 first round picks at the draft to replenish their prospect pool. As it stands those pick would be 7th, 13th, 17th. According to McKeen’s december ranking that would be : Wahlstrom, Veleno, Mcleod. Unreal. Might take a D instead of 3 Centers but regardless good trade to make imo.

replace Dal Colle with K.Bellows, and if NYI don't want a goalie prospect, replace Lindgren with a draft pick and you have a deal!!

If you replace DC with Chimera and you add a 2nd in 2019 fhe deal is fair. Works cap wise too
