I like the Sheary-Smith trade and the Zadina pick. Can't see Wideman or Ceci signing those contracts though, and that's a lot of dead money for a team that is extremely strapped for cash.

What is the trouble this year? Losing Methot? Turkish? I know Karlsson was out for the first month or so but the Sens seem to have regressed since his return and the arrival of Duchene. Any insight?

Well. We were playing fine uptil the Duchene trade, then with the loss of turris we lost a bunch of chemistry, and it took duchene a while to build chemistry with his linemates. By then, we had already dug oursleves into a deep hole and all our good players werent even trying anymore, including Karl. Although, we have looked MUCH better in the last few games, since Hoffman and Duchene have built up some good chemistry. Also: Our Goaltending is TRASH, good one game, trash the next.

OHHHH u mean the retained salary. True Melnyk is too dumb and cheap to retain any salary. He wouldnt wanna pay anyone not playing for our team.

You bet! Thanks for the analysis. They were so close to the SCF last year, now are most likely a lottery team. As a Hawks fan, I can sure relate to ups and downs.

Yup exactly. Team is more likely to ship out picks and prospects to make a team pay the contract than to retain that much (as shown in the Brassard trade)

I agree with you. Anderson and Condon have both had a bad year.

Hi. I see you're a Sens fan (or at least it looks like you are). Ottawa GM in the GM game here, any interest in becoming my assistant? Come to my Ottawa page if interested!
