I dont think chirelli does that deal unless you offer a stud prospect or high pick because lets face it Krug sucks defensively and Peter gonna be cautious dealing with Sweeney, and the signing of Carlson is a good move except it handicaps the franchise, when Donato, DeBrusk, McAvoy, and Carlo need to get paid.

Why would you do that? You want to trade the #2 fantasy playoff defense man, who not only put up 59 points in the regular season, for a center (a forward) who put up only 48 points this past season. I get that signing the #1 fantasy defense man for big $, is even better. Plus it's more likely to see Carlson stay with the Capitals, as their future #1 defense man long term. Don't let the "UFA" idea get your hopes up. Plus, Krug is far more valuable then just a Nugent Hopkins, and rather is more of a Leon Draisaitl type trade. If the Bruins go for hopkins/krug, include at least a 2nd rounder, in the deal for Boston to obtain. I defintly though see Donato up permantly next year on the second line, so nice move there! Otherwise decent ideas happening here.

Well, here's the thing, I thought the idea was to win a Stanley cup, not build a good lineup for fantasy hockey. Krug is horrible defensively. Trading him after a 59 point season is selling high, and buying low. The Leon comment is a joke. Krug and 5 first round picks for Leon? Maybe. They honestly probably still say no to that. Krug is a fraction of the player you make him out to be.....it's not all about points. Krug out and RNH in makes them far better.

After next season krejci and backes lose their nmc. So you're giving your first rounder to Seattle to take backes in the expansion draft. Charas salary, and performance will likely go down, so you need to get a top pairing guy somehow, and you're going to have to pay him. Don't expect donato to break the bank, but the other three could get some serious coin.

This is just so wrong. Krug is not “horrible defensively” - that’s an extreme exaggeration. He’s fine defensively, but is even better offensively which fits Bruce Cassidy’s system. You’re significantly underrating Krug. Bad trade.

You're right about the Leon thing for sure, that's a stretch by a long shot. But I do think we all are underestimating the value of Krug, and I don't see Sweeney moving him any time soon. The way I see it, I don't see Krug moving anytime soon. What's your thoughts on that?

So what's the plan next off-season when you have around $7 million in cap space and still need to re-sign: McAvoy, Carlo, Donato, Heinen, Chara (or his replacement), JFK and Zane?

Krejci and backes both lose their nmc. Backes to Seattle along with a first rounder. Seidenberg, Hayes, and beleskey will be off the books. Chara will likely have a smaller cap hit. The cap will likely have gone up. And Zane sucks and will never make it to the national

Right which is hope you find a team that wants Krejci and his not on his block list and pay Seattle a 1st rounder (premium price) to take the other bad contract.

What happens if Seattle says no on Backes and you can't find a team not on Krejci's block list that is offering even a decent deal?

How would you know? He hasn't had to play any defense... kidding, of course, but he had the second highest OZ starts in the league last year at 65%.

The bruins absolutely need another center. Nash is gone, Backes is dead, Krejci is more of a third line center at this point. Bergeron isn't exactly a kid.

I think it's a way bigger sin to not try to fully take advantage of the years when you have all these entry level deals, than to just punt and plan for the future. You can't keep everyone, load up while you have the advantage of ELC's.

Lol. Yes because that stat isn’t broken or anything. Anyone who references plus/minus as a prominent stat is a dope.

I don’t miss games. Lol at that response. You’re doing a great job backing up your stupid comment. Your trade sucked.

I’m going to have a lot of fun with you. I love loudmouth newbies.
