Description
I know teams don't send offer sheets, but weakening the Senators to make their 1st round pick more likely to be a lottery pick for Jack Hughes is a strategy I hope Sakic considers.

5 years and under 8.0m is the magic number to be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Based on that, we did it Fam

Yeah now it is a 1st, 2nd & 3rd but his initial offer sheet that he signed Stone to was a 7 year $7,750,000 which the compensation for that is four 1st Round Picks.

Nope it's only a 1st 2nd and 3rd. But Ottawa offers him and 8 year deal at 7.5 which he would probably take. The term is big.

it was four 1sts. it was 7x7.75 before. I remember hearing that he was looking in the ballpark of 6.5 to 7.5, so they might get him a shade cheaper than that.

Where did u hear that? No way he's gonna make less than 7 id say 7.5-7.8 is a good offer for him.

Ottawa would beat that easily by giving him 7.5 for 8 years, the extra 3 years would put the total $ way over yours, so if u want him your gonna have to do like 8,000,000 by 7 and upgrade the picks.

I can't remember where I read it, but it was earlier in the season. the writer was using the Pastranak contract as a rough reference point. that is out the window now that Kane signed his contract
