Quite literally, trading Risto for a winger is the dumbest thing you can do right now. Without him Bogosian is your best RHD.....Let that sink in for a sec. Dahlin is good but he still needs to play with a capable dman.

I’m thinking of a package for Jacob Trouba.... better fit for what we need.

I'm not sure if you mean 1 for 1, but Jason Zucker would be a great fit for the Sabres IMO

Should have been more clear, the idea is to move Risto for a top line LW and then trade for young Trouba all at the same time. Maybe in a 3 way deal

He would. MIN would have to add bc of Zucker is older and will almost definitely make more money than what Risto is right now. Thoughts?

Ohh ok gotcha. Just use a couple 1sts and you could get a decent LW.

Agreed, not sure what we would add though. What else do you guys need? We could offer Olofsson or maybe Coyle (not as sure about him, he's our only right shot top 6 forward), I'd think all of our draft picks and forward prospects would be off limits.

This is absurd?? Why is everyone all about trading Risto? It makes zero sense, a top 2 defender under contract on a team friendly cap hit at 24... We have been gripping about how bad our defense has been for years now, and now we finally get some depth and have a unique chance to build something like say a Nashville and everyone says dump risto. Makes no sense at all, don't finally upgrade the defense to just downgrade it right away.
