Trades
SJS
  1. Panarin, Artemi
Additional Details:
8x10 extension included
CBJ
  1. Norris, Josh
  2. Tierney, Chris
  3. 2020 1st round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
Jackets get the sharks best prospect in Norris who was the 19th pick in 2017. They also get a middle 6 center with some upside and a 1st. If it takes some other minor assets to get the deal done that's fine but I don't know what jackets fans want.

Not bad, better then a lot of other Panarin trades as far as value.

I think this value is spot on for a trade with Panarin, but that's without the extension.

An extended Panarin should command more and I think the Jackets could do far better.

Then I guess throw in one of the seconds from 2019. I don't think an extension should be worth that much because it doesn't actually cost the Jackets anything more. Plus with Panarin unlikely to re-sign they aren't exactly negotiating from a position of power.

You would have to dump some money. And I don’t see Panarin extending with SJS if he wants to go to a big city.

Panarin to San Jose with an extension would likely start with Couture..... which I think would help both teams. We need a true top line center and you get another superstar on the wing.

No one is going to trade a 1C like Couture to get Panarin. That’s not a thing in the NHL. I can’t for the life of me understand why you think that would even be a thing. Panarin type trades come in form of futures, prospects and draft picks, and maybe a decent roster player. Not a 1C.

Panarin is only rumored to want to go to place where there is water. That’s the only preference that’s been revealed. None of the rumors have pointed to big city, but even if they did, the Bay Area is pretty damn big.

And this is exatly why Panarin won’t be traded....... no ones willing to give up what Jarmo wants to get for him..... thank you all knowing hockey god.

Well it helps CBJ. And for you guys. SJS doesn’t need another damn LW. So it’s that or nothing from what makes sense to me. And I’d see him head to Colorado. NY, LA now that Patches isn’t there or work alongside Barkov which would be insane.

Depends on how you grade prospects. Merkley has a high chance of busting while Norris is likely to make it. Norris also older making him closer to making an NHL roster.

You must obviously don’t know that Panarin and Jarmo are working on an extension. Panarin wants to be in Columbus he just doesn’t know if he wants to commit the next 8 years there.

I know they had a meeting but Eronko reported that Panarin isn't looking to sign long term. Neither of us know what is going to happen so we'll just have to wait and see. To me it looks like he isn't staying.

For a fan of tanother team everyone will think that but for jacket fans like myself, we have to stay positive that they’ll work something out.

Guy likes every comment ..... makes 1 comment that says "I like it" ...... gives a 3 star rating.

I'll take a wild guess and assume you're really nice to waiters ..... and then give them $2 tips.

Ryan Merkley doesn't have any value. He was basically only going to be drafted by San Jose or someone with too many picks...

I think you are on the right track, but I think you need to toss in some more. A second rounder or Balcers would probably even it out for me.

I think Panarin could resign with San Jose, but it won't get done before the trade. His gf wants to be close to a market where she can begin modeling. I have to imagine San Jose is close enough to LA to be in the conversation. Places that would be the front runners because of the modeling thing would be LA, ANA, NYR, NYI (jk), and NJD. I don't see him ending up in Anaheim or Jersey, so the likely thought is with the Kings (only if you move a good chunk of cap) or the Rangers (who aren't done with their "rebuild" yet).

Chicago might work, but money might be an issue.

Anyone who says he would fit in Toronto is a little nuts. You can't pay Tavares, Matthews, Marner, Nylander, AND Panarin. He would only fit for one year (this one), and they don't need offense. They need defense. I just don't see that happening.

Logically, there are only a few spots for Panarin. San Jose makes as much sense as anyone else, but you can't do the deal if you are afraid he would walk after one season. I doubt DW does the deal. He would much rather get a Jeff Skinner, who is a goo top 6 forward, but will actually sign an extension, and will be a little bit cheaper. Not as good as Panarin, but it would make more sense for the Sharks.

Ultimately, I see Panarin with the Rangers next year. The team with have a good amount of growth from the young kids, and they should be trending upwards.

This is wrong re: Merkley. No value? Skill wise he's the 2nd best D man on the draft board. Try again please.
