    Yes because the whole deal revolves around Nylander. Nobody in the league is giving up high end young talent for 28 year olds anymore. No matter how old they are. This deal is 3 1st round picks, add something else maybe but not Nylander

    It’s not about that. You are wanting Ottawa to spend 3 Million dollars in cap space for 8 years without good compensation. You aren’t even giving a good defenseman back. They say hell no. You can keep your picks we will get better deal WITHOUT RETAINING for 8 YEARS

    Ya I think you are correct. I originally put to sign him UFA but the money didnt work, so I just threw this together for fun, but clearly people here are WAY too serious about it. Very unfortunate
