Pittsburgh won't have the cap to sign Panarin and the younger guys needing a new contract. Plus they're going to need to find centers after this year

They will have around 20-23 million in cap space : Panarin 6, Hagelin 4, Brassard 3, Guentzel, 0,7, Sheahan 2,1, Murray 2,9, Cullen 0,65, Hayes 0,65 + cap space now, + 2-3 more next year.
Panarin : 9m
Guentzel : Bridge deal 4m x 2y
Murray : Bridge deal 4m x 2y

You can also trade Oleksiak for a 3rd center, and you have rookie that can take this role. PITS have ENOUGH money to do that.

How do you know that ? What about playing with Malkin and Crosby ? Probabilities are 50/50, because no one know if what media said is real.

You need to replace the players that leave, example: sign a new 3C, and your bridge deals only work if peoplewant to sign those bridge deals.

The Penguin will NOT have the room to give Panarin $9M, and why would they want to when they could have Kessel for $6.8M?

Rutherford is old, but he is not this stupid.

Lol. CBJ is the loser.... Kessel won’t even show up in Columbus and Maatta is equal to Murray? Personally I think Murray is better but I could be wrong. Also thinking Kessel and tortz would work together is a pretty great joke, also why would we be dumb enough to trade our best player to a division rival?

Ya you're undervaluing so much. Murray and Guentzel won't sign a bridge deal that cheap and Oleksiak won't bring back a good enough 3rd line center. And what happens when Guentzel and Murrays bridge contract is done and they've been great and demand a lot of money? Then what?

Based on the rumors, it's unlikely Bread would sign in Pittsburgh. He wants a large market, probably big city, somewhere on the coast. New York, California, and Florida teams have all been ranked as most likely to sign him. Besides that, his next extension will 100% be 8 years, and likely north of $9 million, so likely out of the Pens price range.

As a trade for this year, though, in an attempt for the Cup? This actually looks pretty good for both sides. But I don't think CBJ would trade Panarin to an in-division rival, even for a year, without really stealing something from them.

kessel is better, signed beyond one season, and would be for a cheaper rate than pannarin. Panarin is also rumored to only want to sign in a select few cities(florida, Chicago, new York etc) and even if he was willing to sign with Pittsburgh it wouldn't be a good deal for them.

Columbus would have to kick in at least one first for sure, maybe another conditional pick if panarin doesn't resign with the penguins if that is even a thing? I have seen conditional picks based on somebody signing but not somebody not signing.

panarin, murray, 2019 first, 2020 conditional for kessel and maata. Which Columbus would surely say no to so no way it happens.

His agent said so, he wants to be in either Chicago, New York, or Florida. His agent only denied rumor that the reason was to further his girls modeling career. But those are the cities he wants
