Based on the rumors, it's unlikely Bread would sign in Pittsburgh. He wants a large market, probably big city, somewhere on the coast. New York, California, and Florida teams have all been ranked as most likely to sign him. Besides that, his next extension will 100% be 8 years, and likely north of $9 million, so likely out of the Pens price range.
As a trade for this year, though, in an attempt for the Cup? This actually looks pretty good for both sides. But I don't think CBJ would trade Panarin to an in-division rival, even for a year, without really stealing something from them.
