I see that you new here. I think you have good eye for the talent exchange. I completely agree with your assessment, this trade fills the holes that Toronto has right now. While Nylander is the winger Chiarelli pines for. Nylander was sort of invisible in the playoffs, Strome has huge potential. Nurse is just what TML need on defense and Jones is a prospect. Maybe just drop the prospects and picks. Nylander for Strome and Nurse? This is the sort of trade Chiarelli likes to make, big, splashy, risky with huge returns if successful.
LMAO - are you guys on crack?
"this trade fills the holes that Toronto has right now"
This trade literally fills zero holes.
- Nurse will be fighting for bottom pair LD with Dermott and others (and that's after we force Hainsey over to RD from his natural side).
- Strome would be our 4th line center (Tavares, Matthews, Kadri) and probably doesn't make the Leafs at RW (Marner, Nylander, Brown, Kapanen are better).

"Strome has huge potential"
Strome is 25 and had his best NHL season 4 years ago. He's basically been declining for 4 years.
And why would anyone wan't to pay their 4th line center $3,100,000?
