It doesn't, help the Leafs at all. Teams don't get "cap punished" for having injured players, especially LTIR. Seems like it only the Leafs that seem to get punished cap wise by having players on LTIR by so many non Leaf fans.

He’s projected by scouts to be top pairing. Doesn’t mean he will be we’re just hopeful.
