It's a difficult swap to make since the value for these guys are all over the place. Sprong has a better track record in the AHL and has better NHL success this year, Puljujarvi has a little bit of youth on his side (a year and two months) and the pedigree of being a top 5 pick. Both their values drop dramatically if they're traded and can't make a big impact with a 2nd team, and they play the exact same position so it's not like this fills each teams needs. Where's the benefit to Pitt in getting back a guy you still don't have room for? Where's the benefit to Edmonton in giving up a former top prospect at his lowest value without filling a need in return?
