If by some miracle you happen to get Hughes and you trade him that would be the dumbest decision made in NJ yet.

Yeah... Ducks refuse. Sure Hughes is a great talent but why would they trade a 1C on an INSANE contract, an extremely talent 1D, a 1st and 2nd for a guy that won’t even be ready for the NHL year one?

If NJ decides this year is lost and commit to the tank, there's no reason at all to trade away Hughes, should they get the 1st overall pick. A potential 1-2 punch of Hughes and Hischier will Hall, Palmieri, Zacha, and Bratt would be s trong top 6 in the league
