Why trade Kessel? He is your third best scorer and constant treath! Stop it right now..

Valuewise you can get at least middle-6 player, great prospect and pick for Kessel.. Im talking Bjugstad, Tippett and pick..

All good points, but PIT has to trade him at some point. Him and HCMS relationship is slowly deteriorating. Plus, it nets us a good 3C with term. And I don't see FLA letting go of Tippett. Even for Kessel.

five stars for the Buffalo trade. Let's make a deal! cheers
IMO that trade greatly favors Buffalo, do you have the first going the wrong direction?

The thing is: we're sending them a slumping Brassard and asking for retention of Pominville contract. That's a lot to ask for.

We are sending them a brassard who is struggling from how he is used in Pitt and first for Pominville. The retention is only for half a year now. Its an awful trade for Pens.

Brassard is not worth much right now. GM's' don't pay a premium for a player that's not producing because "he's not in the right situation". Premium players produce no matter what, that's why they're paid a premium.

HORRIBLE!! Losing a first this year and not having any number 2's till 2021 is not good. Don't get me wrong, this team is great but they need to get younger. They need draft picks. They can't risk giving them up. ALWAYS BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT!!!!!! LOOK AT THE LEAFS!!!! THEY DID IT THE RIGHT WAY

Surprised anyone would of actually came up with such lucrative trades for Pitts... You need to get more for Phill, plus Brassard is actually worth something. Being 3rd line C behind Crosby and Malkin and still playing a well-rounded game, his value is not what you think.

So what is the premium side of Pominville? What rated him Brassard plus a 1st? I'd rather have Brassard than Pominville at the same cap hit straight up, ZERO reason to add from Pit side. Brassard for Pominville @50% + 1st is more like it, maybe not even then. Pominville is a 36 year old slug. Replacing Brassard with Pominville on the ice instantly makes the Pens worse.

You're overpaying for Pominville.

Why would the last place Panthers want Kessel? He's 31.

Sure his value is down, but he is still a real asset at the TDL. Very cheap contract, UFA so no long term obligations, still showing skill and although he is currently slumping still has great potential.
