The pens didn’t give up a 1st for Reaves. And people need to stop justifying that trade to rip off the pens and posting terrible trades

the wilson trade is interesting. There is talent there but he hasn't done much with it.
Brass has done more with less on 5v5 play. So I don't think that will give you an upgrade. But I guess we won't know unless we see it.

Some education for you. Rutherford was under ownership mandate to get someone to "protect" the Pens stars, Reaves was specifically named. Rutherford gave Sundqvist (who was in Sullivan's doghouse) and dropped 20 spots in the draft for Reaves. He then picked the same guy at 51 that he was going to at 31. So in essence, he traded Sundqvist for Reaves.

Knowing is half the battle.

That is a high price for Ferland but I do think some team may pay a first.
Carolina seems to want young talent back so Simon would likely be in a package for him. Brassard to carolina is a maybe since they just traded away Rask and with Staal on IR they have no center depth.

Brassard for Wilson is interesting but Wilson doesn't really play center or has at all consistently over his career.
