I like it too, but just so I’m straight here... pens give up a 2nd and take one back and canes retain the salary?

Seems to me that the canes should just take the Dallas pick.

Seems to me that the canes should just take the Dallas pick.

Exactly what I thought.. just have Carolina get Dallas' pick, and have Pittsburgh maybe throw in a late one if anything, but no reason to swap seconds like that. Other than that, deal seems fair.

This doesn't work because Brassard already has 10% of his cap hit retained by Vegas, you can only retain another 40 percent of his original cap hit

yep, once you get what pieces are going where straights its a massive overpayment, take out jarry and leave everything else the same and it would be fair.
