Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Gives the Leafs a big-upside Nylander replacement and a couple affordable bottom six guys.

Then the Blues focus on getting Schenn re-signed and keep the duos of ROR-Tarasenko, Schwartz-Schenn, and Thomas-Nylander and fill in around them.

Just a bored thought, not sure if either side would consider it.

(Yes, that's an expensive 4th line :/)

Leafs wouldnt be interested in this offer, any deal with Nylander would be for Parayko

And any deal for parayko would have to include a heck of a lot more than Nylander

Are you aware who nylander is? He’s like mats sundin! But better way better. 16 points for nylander easily translates to 106!for Kucherov.

I’m being a jerk but yeah leaf fans love Nylander and glorify him. No clue why. But i agree with you paraykos value is much higher

It always makes me laugh that Leaf fans expect their opponents to trade one of their top 3 players for Nylander, where Nylander is their 6th, 7th(?) best player.

If the Leafs need cap room, it just might be Nylander is traded for futures, either this deal or with another team. This rah, rah, Nylander gets immediate on ice value seems really unfounded, and really denies the reality of the Leafs cap situation.

I agree. Sort of. This offer is an overpay for Alexander Nylander. Without Kyrou. It's not.

It's not just about value, its that the there is no incentive for Leafs to move Nylander, so unless they're blown away by a trade, he wont be moved. I doubt a trade between the blues and Leafs happens for either player
