So much depends on Trouba. He seems to want to a UFA. Really I can't see Detroit trading, they will take a chance on signing him a UFA, instead of giving up assets. Buffalo may not be Trouba's radar and the Sabres right now sufficient RHDs. Philly with their cap and good looking future seems like a a nice destination for player. But is Trouba wanting for hometown Detroit or girlfriends Florida in 2020?

Trouba to Detroit for Hronek and the Wings 2019 2nd round pick.
That'd be plenty enough for Trouba.

I think a lot depends on high up the depth chart jets slot niku or if Myers is in the plans, to what the return is, I wouldn’t mind Bowey for depth, youth, and price. I could see a trade for picks and not take on cap if at all possible

I think Niku will be top 4 next season pretty easily and added bonus is he likes playing on his off side. Hronek looks like he's pretty much a top 4 RHD already so he and Detroit's 2nd which will be very early (basically a late 1st) would be a solid return for Trouba.
I'm a pretty big Myers fan but I think it's time to move on.

Depending on term and dollar, Myers chiarot tanev all could be welcomed back or driven to the airport, I’m hoping loyalty doesn’t get in the way of getting outbid for there services, to be honest I would accept a top 15 pick for trouba, and combination of value that gets u there such as your trade.

I vote for 'driven to the airport.. Lol
Especially Tanev, I know he's having a good season and works hard but I think he's really a drag on any line he's on.
If they're too loyal to depth players like Chairot and Tanev they're really gonna screw themselves going forward, won't be long and the Roslovic's, Niku's, etc are gonna need raises.

When Trouba sat, Overhardt mentioned that Trouba had no interest in Buffalo. The teams he was the most interested in were Detroit, Florida, Tampa and the New York Rangers even Philly wasn't on his radar.

Jets will be trading Trouba as a rental since it's quite obvious he intends to hit free agency and he will likely end up in Detroit without them having to give up anything

I'd probably do that, But Detroit is high on Hronek. Doubt Holland has any interest in moving him just yet.

Yeah if I was Holland I wouldn't make that trade but as a Jets fan I hope it happens, I'm also a Wings fan so kind of hope they don't trade for Trouba's overrated @$$... Lol

I can't see Detroit trading for Trouba. The asking price is just too high for Detroit. The actual value is around even talent wise. But since Detroit is rebuilding the assets you asking for are too important to Detroit. AA is untouchable Detroit and yes even Blashill is a big fan now. Hronek is 21 and has proved he can excel in this league. Veleno is 19 and averaging close to 2 points a game in the Q.

I think you'd be much better off trading him to a playoff team looking for that last piece that will make them a contender now. It's the only way I see a team giving up that much future to win now. I also think Winnipeg will have to sign him to a multiyear deal before he is traded to get that big of a return. After next season he can be a UFA.

When Trouba sat, Overhardt mentioned that Trouba had no interest in Buffalo. The teams he was the most interested in were Detroit, Florida, Tampa and the New York Rangers even Philly wasn't on his radar.

I will keep that in mind from now on. I completely forgot about that. What is that almost 3 years ago. Good memory

I can't see Detroit trading for Trouba. The asking price is just too high for Detroit. The actual value is around even talent wise. DET was like 2 of 10 trades and only one of the possible destinations. I know there are other teams and they will probably just wait but you never know. Secondly in the description I said that Trouba is traded with an extension to maximize return

All I did was give my opinion on why I don't think a trade with Detroit will work, I even said the trade value was even and I know there were offers to other teams as well. To someone who doesn't follow Detroit it would seem like a logical choice. Trouba is from the area and when Trouba held out Detroit was one of the teams putting in offers for him.
There is no need to get all defensive or take anything I said personally. All I did was give a couple of reasons why I don't think the trade will work and I even said I thought the value of the trade was about even. If you took any of that personally or thought I was attacking you I'm sorry it wasn't my intention.

I know things can change, Was just mentioned Buffalo is far better then Detroit by a country mile. We'll see what happens this summer.

When I read through my reply I realize that that sounded bad. Sorry not my intention either. Look past the me sounding angry (I was not) and that is my reply. I know DET would rather probably wait but I still think they might trade for him if he extends to guarantee getting him. Though out of the teams listed here. DET is one of the least likely to trade for him.

                  Sorry for the misunderstanding. Mb

Buf seems like a good fit though. He would be playing next to generational talent in dahlin. He would be the undoubted #1 RD. Would be close to home while not being on a rebuilding team. Seems like a good fit. Bufallo has changed a lot in the past 3 years

Now that you mentioned it I saw the signing him to a long deal before trading him. I'm sorry I missed that and reading over my comment I could've been more graceful in how I added that it does come across as confrontational. Thank you for understanding. I know the media in Detroit seems to think Trouba coming to Detroit is a done deal and so do a lot of Detroit fans. It is the third time in recent years I've seen this happen and neither time before has it been close to happening so I won't believe it till I see it. The first 2 were Ryan Miller and Bryan Bickell.
