i'd do that deal in a heartbeat. miller and foote are both better assets than risto and we can eat callahan for a year.

I really don't think Skinner isn't signing for anything higher than 7.5 a year, and I highly doubt Tampa takes that deal. You *might* get Foote for taking Callahan but they wouldn't then also give up Miller and take Risto.

Callahan isn't that big of an anchor to get you Foote. Callahan can can be bought out for: $2.7M in yr 1 and $1.6M in yr 2.
I can see Miller being traded. You have Miller, Johnson and Palat they all have a cap hit of around $5M. I think they can trade one of them without hurting the team very much.
I don't think Skinner is worth more than $7.5M but you know someone will give pay him more.
