No way MIN does that. Brodin is amazing and they get a lot of nothing in return.

That seems like an overpay for Stetcher.

So Ottawa takes two cap dumps, and trades an LTIR player giving the Pens more cap relief, while also trading picks to Pitt? That's a god awful deal for the sens.

You’d dethrone chiarelli as worst gm in the world to decline all that for stetcher ?

Ottawa says hell no. GMJR would be fired and taken to the insane asylum on that first trade. Vancouver says no to the Bjugstad trade.

If you are gonna resign Cullen, might as well go sign C.Adams while you are at it.

so the Pens fleece 3 teams in a row?

Brodin is better than that whole package
Stecher is one of VAN best prospects (not in the nhl)- in a trade for a pick that could be anywhere by 2021
and OTT is so humbled that you would allow them to take 2 bad (1 terrible and 1 meh) contracts in order to free up cap space and provide them nothing in return...

@pensfan89 @radtad
Gudbranson and johnson are not worth nothing which is what an LTIR player is, nothing, so of course PIT would need picks. They are very late picks too so it really isn't a big deal.

@nfc

A lot of conflict here but stecher is pretty underrated and this just shows that. Eye test really does him justice.

seems like a definite overpay on both the first two by the penguins.

The rest is fine.

Both of those two are very good defensively though. Spurgeon is also very good defensively.

They aren’t worth nothing but Ottawa wouldn’t want them unless they are getting more in return. JJ and Gudbranson take spots away from young players. Whereas, McArthur gives them a cap hit but doesn’t take a spot away from their young players.

They have chabot, demelo, ceci and brannstrom which leaves 2 spots open cause the others are bottom pairing defenseman at best. And if any of those 4 are out of the line up then they have more than 2 spots open. And ottawa will likely need to take on cap to be over the cap floor.

while they are both pretty good defensively, I don't think they are good enough to justify those type of packages. Would be interested at a slightly lower price.

Same. i feel like stecher is one of the most underrated in the league.
