Trades look very good value wise Don't think the lottery bound Oilers though are in the mood to trade their first though. Minni seems to lose on the trade unless they looking for long term cap relief Probably too much for Panarin especially since he probably wants to sign in New York.

Leafs aren't moving Nylander unless it's for a top 2 D. also I don't think Edmonton moves 8th overall unless it's for a big time scorer

My thoughts on this...

TOR trade - needs a little work. Pionk is their only long time investment. Those picks are relatively low and contenders don't really have use for them, Claesson is most likely the 7th D in the team and Kreider likely walks after the season since TOR has no money to re-sign him. Furthermore knowing how much some TOR fans like Nylander, they're not gonna move him unless they get a solid first pair RHD.

OTT trade - not really. Melnyk is just cheap. He's not going to take $9M in salary to the team, especially when they're not getting any assets that would help their rebuilding process.

CHI trade - I guess it works. It depends really on whether they have a slot for him or not (ergo do they move Anisimov or other forwards from the team)

EDM trade - when I first saw, I thought that nope, they're not gonna move eighth overall pick for that. But that move really solves some of their issues. The question is that can they afford it - hence I think that If NYR takes one of their bad contracts (Sekera or Russell for example), then they sure would do it.

MIN trade - nah. Zucker's worth a first. Andersson's nice, but he's not that nice that they'd take a bad cap dump, albeit his salary is retained. If you take the 2nd round pick from that trade, then they'd probably take it.

We'll trade Kadri and our second for Pionk and the Winnipeg first.
