Edited version of following thread : https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1197214

CAR trade from their fan base :
https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/235529

MIN trade from edited for reclamations :

Quoting: TanSor

Kadri would be a 2C on our team; but we don't need another left shot 2C, we need right shot forwards.
As for your trade, it is an overpayment for a year of Spurgeon. In the thread you linked I had Spurgeon inked to a contract extension so he wasn't a rental there. I'd be alright with the return you have since it is an overpayment, but I'd really hope the plan isn't to keep Kadri. He's a good player and all, just not what we need since we're in a rebuild.

I'll echo what I've been saying for a year: Spurgeon is a fantastic fit for the Leafs and Dubas should be doing anything he can to try and get him.

Yep, as I posted...only like this for Canes if it’s part of a larger trade without Zaitsev staying in Raleigh.

Now I am not saying I like Hamilton but this one of the few trades for him that I would accept.

Although, are you not worried about the number of times this guy has been traded? This usually a red flag.

Give up on Dermott to add Spurgeon, never thought about it before. Would really have to think about that one

Overall is good, good job Laudan

You remember my main thread, im resigning Muzzin 5 x 5,5M, really fell in love the way he hits and covers....and Dermott just fell to 4LD on depth after emerging of Sandin

Hard pass on the Calgary trade. Kadri is so much better than Jankowski.

I'm not interested in trading Dermott for a 30 year old UFA

Forget the Kadri trade ( you have the space to skip it), put Goat in for Engvall or Petan and I Love it

Yeah I’m not gonna piece together 4 teams, just if you need the space next year then make the trade next year, Right now no need to make that trade as it just weakens a cup contending team

I really don’t like Spurgeon, it could just a personal thing but I see him as a right handed Gardiner …. And leaf fans have loved to rip on him

Would rather keep jake

Sure, not great he’s been traded. He had a good season in Carolina. My thoughts are, if he’s traded, he better bring a good return. Carolina can’t answer for Boston and Calgary, but him moving out of Carolina would be about return not attitude.

Dude had 18 goals as a defenseman, and scored 15 goals second half of season. Played with a severely broken right pinky finger from Oct - Dec/Jan. He’d score 25 goals next year if healthy in Carolinas system.

Highly confused by this response, do you mean they should have substrates from their roster before last year began? To make space for next year? That’s one of the worst ideas I’ve heard

And while he did screw up he has a good shot at helping a lot if he doesn’t lose his mind
