Value wise is probably close. Logic wise you're way off. Hagg isn't of any interest in Toronto. O'Brien and Ginning don't do much to help accomplish the team goal of winning now. Provorov is a nice piece though and so is the #11 pick. I think if you're realistically moving Marner to Philly, the package coming back starts with Provorov and Konency. Something is seriously consider doing if I was Toronto

Ekholm is the only D they won't consider trading. They will on the other 3 because of the big contracts Subban/Ellis have & the emergence of RD Fabbro and Josi because he will cost a lot to resign. Not an unfair deal, it just won't be for Ekholm.

I think that's highly variable depending on how you evaluate players. Personally I don't evaluate any of Hagg, O'Brien, or Ginning highly. If I were to treat them as filler in a deal its Provorov + 11th + extras which I can see some people not taking.

Im talking about value wise. Provorov is on the same level as Werenski and Chabot. Youre trading a top 2 D, a former 1st rounder whos still in college, and the 11th overall plus Hagg. Value wise I might even say its an overpay. But fit wise I don't think it fits what Toronto is looking for.

The problem is that Konecny and Provy are going to cost more than Marner combined

That statement is highly debatable at best. Definitely not a forgone conclusion

At this point in time it looks like O'Brien was a big reach, and may not make it to the NHL. I agree that to move Marner, Konecny would have to be in the deal, but I wouldn't do it if I was the Flyers GM

Mark my words. TK and Provy will cost a combined 12M give or take 500K

Again, contracts are always highly debatable. The issue with Toronto isn't giving Marner $11M. It's if they give him that much then they can't improve the team else where. Getting Provorov and Konency and they could sign for potentially around $11M combined, brings in a similar player to replace Marner and improves the defence. So that's the ideal starting package for a return in a Marner deal
