I could see the Ducks taking on zaitsev but they certainly will not be giving up Manson.

The canes trade is off in value the wrong way. If you want pesce it will be an overpay. The rumour is that kappy and Kadri was offered for pesce+ at the draft. The canes declined but did consider it.

If Kapanen does in fact re-sign for 3yrs at $3.4m, I think that makes him even more attractive. At this point I'd probably do Kadri/Kapanen for Pesce and call it a day. I wonder what the + was that the leafs were asking for.

Either way, I agree with all the posts above. Anaheim won't include Manson in that deal...and Carolina will look to get a high return for Pesce. They lost out on signing Fox and moved him...not it looks like they don't agree with Faulk's ask on a new deal and will probably move on from him. I'd guess Pesce is one of the lesser likely guys they'd move unless the return was a bit of an overpayment
