i question how makar is there but fox isnt? he had better points per game and 1 less point, just barely lost the ncaa award due to age difference. suzuki isnt top 5 forwards at all much better players ahead of him currently.

Fox is not even close to Makar IMO. Points in the NCAA is not the reason why I value Makar as the best D prospect. He is a former 4th ovrl and was amazing at the U20 in 2018 + in the playoff was already NHL ready. Fox would be close to the top 10-15 maybe higher.

there was a reason fox was ranked right behind makar and top 10 prospect in the league. Fox is nhl ready since last year but he didnt want to sign his current team at the time and will be jumping into nyr. Look at yakupov was a 1st overall and now in the khl barely getting it along. Debrincat and kuch are other examples that you dont value a player on where or how good they are because they were not top 10 draft selections.

Kratsov should be top 5 forward, has been said to be the best NYR rookie at the rookie showcase?

Ok since your a NYR fan and you seem totaly objective (not bias one second) where would you place Fox in the Defensive prospect ? Because Im taking Makar,Hughes,Branstrom,Byram and Dobson before Fox. Seriously, create your top 5. And I said Makar was draft 4th ovrl of course that doesnt garranted how he would turn out but when he was drafted he had the first pair potential and still does IMO. Dont make me said something I dont plz.

Agree Kratsov could easily take Suzuki/Bemstrom places (in my ranking). I cant wait to see him and Kakko in preseason smile !

As an habs fan, I have only one request : KK is for Kotkaniemi ! Find another nickname for Kakko ! smile
Does Kratsov Play center (for a potential Panarin-Kratsov-Kakko lines)

I like him a lot. Seems mentally and physicaly ready for NHL duty.
Probably not happening this year, but I would like to see him with Domi on his wing.

College doesn’t always translate to the nhl, ask Ryan kuffner lol. Cale makar debuted in the playoffs and showed the heck up, so we’ve already seen him in the nhl

i didnt make you say anything. This was what you stated and used as an argument point which isnt a strong one. Yes im a nyr fan but it is known nyr has the best pool currently with 4 of the best prospects in the league in sheshyorkin kakko, kravtsov, and fox.

Reasons for Makar over Fox:

Makar is 1 draft year younger
Makar a captain at 19 for a NCAA finalist team
Hobey Baker winner over Fox
Top level Hockey IQ, top level skater (easily the best skater in the NCAA this year)
Will play top 4 minutes immediately. Fox isn't guaranteed a NHL spot (though, he should), but will probably play #5 minutes to start.

To me, Fox is #6 on that list. He's probably a #4 guy, PP guy (though maybe more 2nd pair PP guy). His ceiling is a #3 guy. Makar has top 10 in the league potential, and he'll start on the top pair.

This is the correct answer. I think Makar is the #1 prospect in the entire league. He’s gonna be an absolute superstar. I saw him play when UMass came to Ohio State, he’s on another level than anyone else
