he stopped listening to Roy when he hired McFarland to be his AGM, Roy quit, and sakic got to build the team he wanted to build. Love Roy the player but as an exec he hurt the Avs so bad setting them back a few seasons.

I think its will be looked at a steal as early as this coming season. More PP and top pair time wiht the big line will increase his points total but we already know the guys so good defensively already.
When Pionk makes 3m to be a 3rd pairing Dman. Girard for 2m more to be a top pairing guy....that looks pretty good to me already

i don't see many trades with Girard to MTL , i see much more OS to CHABOT next summer and i am one of them . the price in a trade for this kind of players is too high ,we want to keep our prospect pool so the best way is giving draft pick by OS

Future D of Girard, Makar, Byram, Timmins and possibly Zadorov and Graves for size and physicality would look great. Timmins will be a fine and dandy addition to the D corps as long as his concussion issues are sorted.
